Commanders Lose To Eagles

Commanders Lose to Eagles

No Playoffs For Commanders

The Washington Commanders lost to the Philadelphia Eagles 20-6 on Sunday and were eliminated from playoff contention. The Commanders finished the season with an 8-8-1 record. It's been a frustrating season for the Commanders. They started the season 1-4 and never really recovered. They had a chance to win the NFC East, but they lost their final two games of the season.

Heinicke Struggles

Taylor Heinicke started at quarterback for the Commanders on Sunday. He completed 14 of 25 passes for 145 yards and one interception. He was also sacked three times. Heinicke has had a tough season. He's thrown 10 interceptions in 13 games.

No Run Game

The Commanders' running game was also ineffective on Sunday. They rushed for just 63 yards on 20 carries. Antonio Gibson led the team with 31 yards on 10 carries.

Defense Disappears

The Commanders' defense, which had been one of the best in the NFL this season, struggled on Sunday. They allowed the Eagles to score 20 points and 363 yards of offense.

What's Next?

The Commanders will now enter the offseason. They have a lot of work to do if they want to be a playoff contender next season. They need to find a quarterback, improve their running game, and fix their defense.
